Natural Vitiligo Treatment: 6 New Ways to Cure Yourself Today

If it were not for Michael Jackson, I would have ignored the white patch that started to grow near my lips.

At first, I religiously went to my dermatologists for my injections.

However, six months later, I could not see any improvement, and instead, I saw a part of my skin collapsing.

My doctor said it was a side effect of the treatment, but I did not want to risk being deformed. So I decided to look for natural vitiligo treatment options. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

These are the some of the natural remedies that I found:

Red Clay

Yes, it’s used to build houses, but did you know that it is one of the most effective remedies against vitiligo?

All you have to do is mix it with ginger juice on a 1:1 ratio and apply over the affected area. Wait for 15-20 minutes then wash away. It’s easily available in the markets.

Radish Seeds

Grind about 25 grams of radish seeds and mix with 2 teaspoons of vinegar to make a paste.

Apply this to areas affected by vitiligo daily until you see an improvement.

During the treatment, avoid caffeinated drinks as this may irritate your skin. You should also avoid processed food, oily and fatty foods.

Mustard Oil and Turmeric

Turmeric is one of the ingredients commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine mainly for its anti-inflammatory properties.

It also prevents bacterial infections as well as strengthens the body’s immune system.

Mustard oil, on the other hand, helps in removing toxins in the body. Together, these two are potent against vitiligo. All you have to do is mix 250 ml of mustard oil and 1 teaspoon of turmeric.

Apply the paste on the white patches daily until you see improvements in your skin pigmentation.

Lime Juice and Basil Leaves

Aside from making a great pasta dish, basil leaves has antiviral properties that is effective in fighting vitiligo.

Mix lime juice and extract of basil leaves and apply to discolored areas 3-4 times a day. Other patients have reported seeing improvement in as little as 5-6 months.

Pomegranate Leaves

If you find pomegranate leaves, in your backyard or that of your neighbor, get some and ground them into a powder.

Dissolve about 8 grams in water and drink twice a day. It’s suppose to deliver fast results, but I haven’t found too many pomegranate trees in my area. If you have access to one, I suggest you try this.

Ginger Leaves

You can also powder ginger leaves and poultice into a paste and apply to the affected areas. Or you can mix this with raw cucumber, betel leaves and lemon and drink this concoction daily.

There are many more natural vitiligo treatment options that you can try. I have always believed that nature is the best doctor.

While it may take time to see signs of improvement, you can at least be sure that there will be no negative side effects. And even if your vitiligo is not erased, your body will still enjoy other health benefits.

The best thing about natural treatments is that they are cheap. For me, that’s a win-win solution!
